Building on a traditionally heritage brand, we were asked to create a digital personality for Butterfield reflecting the values of your local bank. We started with an initial strategic audit of their digital channels to target how Butterfield communicates with its diverse audiences and territories. Our identity draws influence from Butterfield’s origins in Bermuda, with a colour palette and animated patterns inspired by the Caribbean landscape and local architecture. Our mythical mascot, nicknamed "Vern," plays a central role in the digital identity, embodying both friendliness and quality. Art direction is rooted in refined warmth, expressing the richness and brightness Butterfield adds to everyday life.
